The Growing Stars Project is a project for underprivileged children from single parent families, and some whose parents were terminally ill and unable to generate an income to sustain their family.
Thus, we see the need to support students from such backgrounds. The first enrollment started from 2019, with 28 students from Negeri Sembilan and we have not stop since.
When Covid-19 hits Malaysia and MCO were in place, we still go forward by raising more funds through our Dream & Shine Bright T-shirts fund raising project in 2020.
The initiative was started by a group of 4 intern students in Alpro headquarters. The Dream & Shine Bright initiative saw a success and propel The Growing Stars Project to support more than 130 students nationwide Malaysia.
Fast forward to 2024, we are currently supporting 161 students nationwide Malaysia and we aim to support another 189 more students to reach a head count of 350 students by the end of year 2024 by re-igniting The Dream & Shine Bright initiative with a new edition of our Limited Edition T-shirts.
Through The Growing Stars Project, we hope that more young lives can benefit from these vital educational opportunities to get equal opportunities like any of us.
Thus, The Growing Stars is here to support these students to continue their education. Every month, Alpro Foundation will be sponsoring RM 100 to each student to help cover their expenses such as tuition fees, uniforms, shoes, stationeries and transportation to school.
