A forest knows no origin, adheres to no morals, and worships no deity. Trees fall and rise again, rivers flood and recede, animals hunt and eventually perish—each a part of an endless cycle of unguided renewal. For over 130 million years, Taman Negara has continuously renewed itself. This 4,343 square kilometre expanse of untouched tropical rainforest spans across Pahang, Kelantan, and Terengganu.
There exist a tribe of people, a tribe rich of their own culture, and yet distant away from modernization. They have lived live among the forest for countless generations, but due to frequent attacks by while elephants in Pahang, they have to shift to the other side of the river for survival.
Since 2022, we started providing basic medical aid to the villagers with our team of Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, Dietitians, Nutritionists, and Physiotherapists every 3 months.
We built relationships and familiarity among the villagers and have seen positive changes and growth among the children and adults. As part of our commitment towards inclusivity, we will consistently continue our trips to make the difference in their lives.
We are still on the lookout to expand our team to provide this service to the tribe, if you are a healthcare professional and would like to volunteer with us, feel feel to contact us and we will be more than happy to have you onboard as our volunteer team to provide basic healthcare support.
